We are five athlete/blogger/twits from around New Zealand.
Kate is a lawyer from Cambridge. She loves beer, her bikes Eric the Strada and Maxwell the Silver Hammer, and she hopes Christchurch gets back on its feet as soon as possible so she and Eric can ride the Port Hills.
Phil’s also a lawyer from Cambridge. He loves beer, tea, three piece suits and riding his bike up hills.
Pip’s a Wellington public servant. She love running and cycling and has enough cats to risk being labeled mad. She loves the idea of people around the globe uniting to support the people of Christchurch.
Mike is a POM living in Tauranga who has chosen triathlon as a means to get through his mid life crisis. He loves the idea of social media helping to change the world … very slowly.
Lucinda is an expat Australian living in Wellington. She loves running, top hats, and as a former Melbourne resident holds a soft spot for the Christchurch tram.

I thought it would be cool to do an event in Brisbane, but after reading your important info page, I thought.. I haven’t got the time or means to try and organise an event. With that said, I have some events coming during the year and will be running 2 x 10km events where I will raise money for NZ Red Cross and proudly wear my Red & Black for my home town that I lived all my life until 3 1/2 years ago.
I’m thinking of starting a Facebook page called Brisbane Kiwis Run for Christchurch so the local Kiwis can network for running events in Brisbane and the Great South East region if they wish to run as a Red & Black team, fundraising for Christchurch relief. What do you think?
